Summers Gone By

Summers of youth
Disappeared with full-time job
Which came much too soon

Ah yes those long lazy days
with nothing to do but rest and play!

Isn't that the truth? I forgot that it was June, actually, until the other day! Sad.

pauline - exactly. and there was an anticipation of something magical that could happen in those summer months. haven't felt that in years.

arm - i know, it is sad. my kids start camp tomorrow and because i work full time, they are in day camp all summer long. this world is so different now. sorta wish they could frolic about in the woods all day, but such is not life.

Well I have it a little easier working from home but sometimes weeks go by w/o going to the beach.

Ah yes, those happy summer days, how we all miss them...

Indeed! Now summers are a series of booked up week-ends with too many plans and work in between with the occasional sunny surprise that keeps us sane.

Ha, I remember having prune-like bottoms on my toes from too much time in the community pool. Fun times.
