Stinky Pee
This is a little off color, but I found out an interesting tid-bit on Sunday. Apparently, after you eat asparagus your pee smells funky. I thought that sort of strange, but decided to pay close attention after eating asparagus on Sunday and again last night. It's true friends. Try it for yourself.
I was also told that this doesn't happen for some people, so don't think I'm nuts if it doesn't happen to you. Something about body chemicals and the enzymes in the asparagus.

I don't eat asparagus...or any vegetable really. Therefore, I will not be able to supply you with a test result. But I've heard this theory before. I will have to take your word for it that it's true.

Holy shit, you're just now discovering this? Okay, I guess it's possible you wouldn't know this if a) you don't eat asparagus b) you're of the non-stinking variety of humans. It's so damn pungent I tell you.
No matter how much water you drink with some asparagus, you pee will always be yellow.

egan - i'm in the dark on a lot of things egan. but, i actually eat asparagus a lot. and i'm quite an odorous person as well. somehow i never put the two together. why would a person?

Funny, my dad came to us one morning (after asparagus the night before) and he was freaking out thinking he needed to go to the doctor cos he has liver problems! Needless to say, we mocked him mercilessly.

okay, well, i love asparagus and have never had my pee smell funny from eating it, but i do believe you.

we eat the green stuff at least once a week. personally, i enjoy the asparagus pee. but i'm somewhat peculiar, admittedly.
coffee makes pee smell too. but nothing like as much as asparagus.
arm: you should eat vegetables. then your skin might not be purple.
grumble - i know. it's a shocker that i never put 2 and 2 together before, because, nope, i don't hold my nose in the loo. and i'm no spring chicken.

Well, something has to cause pee to smell like that and it can't be chalked up to a fluke.
egan - you're so right. happy asparagus eating...and peeing.
i don't know about asparagus but my partner eats just about anything and in the 2 1/2 years ive known her she has never once pumped. I put this down to the fact her ears have been pierced twice when she was younger and she once swam with a dolphin!!...or was it a shark cos she hasn't come home since the holiday in South Africa!!
another bit of trivia about pee: if you want your pee to be really yellow, try taking a b-complex vitamin and waiting a few hours...pretty color! oh and eating lots of protein makes your pee hecka stinky.
