A Day of Thanksgiving

Blessings to all of you who are Thanksgiving celebrators. And to all of you who are not...blessings to you as well.

I realize on days like today when i have a moment or two to stop and think and hear myself breathe, or listen to the laughter rising up from the bellies of my boys, that I truly have much to be thankful for. From day to day in the midst of the grind of life so much of that gets overshadowed. But today is a break from that treadmill, and I'm thankful that I can step off for a time and contemplate what it is at the core of life that makes it worth living.

Here are a few things I am thankful for.

  • Jesus, whom without I would not have the strength or grace to get up each day.
  • My boys, who remind me daily of the miracle of life and all that is precious about it.
  • Family. Their love and support is without condition.
  • My dear friend N who feels free enough and safe enough with me to say something like, "I fear that my inner psycho might rear her ugly head today."
  • Amazing friends with whom I can laugh and cry and rant, and still know that I am loved and accepted.
  • A career that is rewarding and challenging and provides sufficiently.
  • A warm place to lay my head each night.
  • A home in a land where there is freedom.
  • Good health
  • The beauty of creation, in which I am constantly in awe.

The list could go on and on. But for now I will leave it at this and go spend time with the family I love.

And yes, I'm thankful for all of you.

... "Life so full I gave to you, as the father sends me, so I send you ... spread my Love thruout all life ... peace be with you ..." It`s my favorite Song from Adrian Snell. Do you know him? I love your Blogger side B, so I am with you always. Today I am going to the seminar "Youth & Sex" again, like last year. You remember? I was pregnant than ... and now ...
