Ms. M

I came across Ms. M's blog a few weeks back while surfing the "next blog" button. She's a teacher in NYC and shares hysterical snippets of her everyday life in the classroom. This one is worthy of passing along.

Silly students, poles are for dancers...

I will say Thanks for passing this along, as I am related to Ms. M and have been totally impressed and entertained by her blog... and I say that objectively. YOu know how you know someone, but then you discover something really stellar about them that makes you look at them in an entirely new way? I just think those kids are really lucky to have someone so bright and motivated and truly into it teaching them. She could do jsut about anything in the world and she chose to put her energies into the NYC public school system. Pretty amazing. From the sound of how exhausting it is, I'm amazed she has the energy to remember the events of the day, let alone find time to record them in such a memorable way. They morph into pure entertainment.

I found you by seeing your comment on her site, which I agreed with!

Hi Sydney - thanks for stopping by and sharing more about Ms. M. Those are really beautiful things you said about her...she must be a very special person.

And yes, I completely know what you mean about discovering someone in a new way. I think experiencing someone's art can often times do that. And writing is art.

Many of her stories are at their core quite sad if you think about them. I like that it seems like her writing and making the events of her day light, is like a therapy. The neat thing is, that it ends up giving to others as well. Hope to see you again!

Tiger - yes lovey, very funny indeed. Hope all is well with you. What's up with Betsy?
