Creation Heals

Dew drop dripping down
Slips from emerald leaf, falls
Heavy to the ground

Hitting slate below
Cold and grey as dewy sky
Yet hard, green with moss

Ker plunk, drip, plop, splat
Each drop with a unique voice
Drums a calming hum

Creation carries
On, a pattern all its own
Outside my window

Unaware that my
Heavy heart receives each drop
Like a healing balm

I really, really like this. I can feel the hope, the calmness of being despite earlier storm of chaos. Wonderful poem!

This is beautiful and so well expressed. I can really relate to it. What a gift you have.
I wish you a Happy New Year full of Peace and joy.

Beautiful! It has always amazed me in the past when we are truly in some state of loss how openly we can observe the life cycles around us. Like ripples upon a stream they carry on their daily task while we observe. Love and hugs. "Everything does pass."

Happy New Year Friends!

katie - thank you. sometimes the only way i can put my feelings on paper is to liken them to something in nature.

cherie! - thanks much. an interesting analogy :) a happy to you as well!

mary - wow, that's very encouraging. thank you! And the same to you!

pauline - i think you are so right. it's been in some of the darkest times that i feel most connected to creation...or perhaps observe it most. xoxo
