Well, Blow Me Down

Driving in the car with I, my six year old son, yesterday.

I: mom, you know why Bill Gates' name is "Gates"?

Me: why babe?

I: because he's the "gateway" to all the money!

He never ceases to amaze me.

Kids sure are great. They offer so much insight.

I'm sending you many CDs by The Orb because I love you.

i am touched, truly.

lil, lil, lil, little fluffy clouds.

You're touched by your son or by me? I get the feeling you wouldn't want The Orb songs if I did send them to you.

How about I send you the keys to my MINI Cooper instead?

Becky said...

touched by your offer, of course!

i've only heard that one song by the orb. you're welcome to send some, unless of course all their songs are repetetive sound clips.

keys to the cooper? ah, what fun!

I'm simply sharing my baby with you all. Yes, it's very comfortable and it improves your pedal stroke too. It draws plenty of stares as you drive around town with it on top of your car.

i know, monkey boy. i was just joshing with you.

Kids are great, we get so much from them, and I think we are happiest when we drop all the trappings of adult life and return to our own childlike ways. If only life would allow us that more often...

Sweet ride egan :) Orb huh, haven't heard them since I had a *tape* of tan early album (shuddup, Im not that old!)

if only it would, jake. thanks for sharing!

You were joking? Damn, I was taking you seriously. Good think we still have a love affair with Jack Bauer in common.

Jake, I'm glad you like the ride. It's a fun bike and a definitely head turner.

that IS a darn good thing. jack never fails. graham's really starting to tick me off. and why is jack trusting his dad? he's so much smarter than that!

All I can say is two hour episode on Monday. I'm sure you're just as psyched as I am. I think Papa Bauer is still very evil. Jack really should know better.

Egan, so psyched!

If you don't see a pic of my new bike posted tonight...please kick me. It means I've chickened out again.

Hey, take your time on your bike purchase. I know you've already waited a few months, but it's a big purchase. It has to be just right.

By the way, my ass is sore from my 13 mile ride today. I love the first few rides when getting back in shape.

oi your aikin arse! yeah, i'm a little frightened about my first week or two after getting my bike.

and "good for you"! pumped up that tire and got out there and did it!

c'est bon!

Oui, c'est bon et magnifique. J'ai monté mon vélo et mon cul se blesse.

So yes, I got out and rode. I always seem to forget how many muscles are used when cycling. I will remember in a couple days.

Becky said...

it is amazing all the muscles. my hip flexors are talking to me today after that little bit of testing yesterday. tells you how very out of shape i am.

et oiu! c'est triste que ton cul est blesse. comme triste!
