Are you a Libra?

Becky said...

arm - interesting question. i don't believe in astrology, however my birthday would put me in the libra window.

I'm not the biggest follower of it. But I know the basics of my sign (which is Libra as well) and the signs of people who I'm close to. And I'll admit that read my horoscope every day. I only asked because this list is very...Libra-like.

Dude, you're pretty close to being the girl version of me. That should scare you as much as it does me.

arm - "this list is very Libra-like". what day's your bday? i guess this is why we could write each other's posts, eh?

jake - our twin-ness doesn't scare me in the least. we've touched on this before, no? in fact, it's sort of comforting.

monilein - yes, my friend. you do know me so well ;-) i hope october can work!

Wow!

I still like you. :) Just so you know!

grinning.. 21 days, eh? You'd kick my ass on a cycle.

Once upon a time, I rode the bike in the living room for 20 minutes. I thought that was forever. Then I rode it for 45 minutes one evening. The end.

I love my horses - all I have to do is balance on them! :)

Great list! Very honest. The one w/Dick and Richard has always baffled me too. My fathers name was Richard but he was called Dick. (I used to refer to him by that name in a derogitory manner when I was teen. After years of that it was always painful for me to introduce him as "my father Dick".)

Oh the stuff I can use from this post to tease you. Awesome and thanks.

Huh, I read through the list and don't see any reason to poke fun at you. Must be the mood I'm in. Some of your items here surprised me a bit and were rather serious.

I also could stare at a map for hours on end. My dream would be to open a map/travel store someday. Thanks for sharing all this with us.

katie - so glad you still like me! i LOVE your bike story. just fantastic. I could probably tell that same story with many other things. jogging, let's say. ugh, i can barely run a quarter mile.

mary - i didn't realize how transparent i had been until several of you started mentioning that. eeek! oh well, it's all out there now. Oh, Mary. I feel for you on the "Dick" thing. That must have been quite the teenage challenge.

cervelo - i'm really quite surprised that you couldn't come up with anything good out of all that. sure, there were some serious ones, but there's enough teasing fodder for quite some time. i'll be waiting for it.

oooh, the map and travel store sounds delightful. let me know when it happens and i will come with my cup of coffee to stare for a while.

Oh, it's not that I didn't come up with anything. I guess some of your responses got me back into my quieter mood that has been around since Saturday.

I was wondering if I redid my 100 things - how much or how little would the list have changed.

Someone gave me this old bike. Last year. With flat tires. I painted it. It looks pretty. It still has flat tires. I remember I use to ride a bike for miles. OK.. LIKE 3. :) I do believe though that outside riding has to be better than indoor.

They finally started controlling the dog population ( ok I did. I took a lot of the neighbors' dogs in to get fixed. And shamed the rest). It might be safe to ride on the road now. We have one sidewalk on the edge of one road. That's it.
But at least most of the dogs are tamed and controlled by fences. The wild pack is gone.

I like hiking. I used to run before I wrecked my leg skiing. Now, I'm fairly lazy!

My bday is 10/12.

ARM, my mom's birthday is 10/12 also. Columbus Day rocks.

cervelo - understand ya, egan. you have a lot to process right now. life changes are such a....well, transformative time. profound, i know :)

katie - huh, i need to check out your 100 things. i've already thought of about a dozen that i'd like to add, or replace.

you're so funny with the bike thing. hey, 3 miles is better than none. but 3 miles on flat tires? oi - i'd rather jog! (i know you didn't ride on the flat tires, sweets!) and i can't imagine trying to ride with wild dogs around. that's terrifying.

hey - what happened skiing?

arm and egan - i'll pencil those dates in ;-)

Awesome, awesome, this was a wonderfully informative list!

I too love the word anthropomorphism! although I find your hatred of Sponges, well, baffling, I mean, after watching Spongebob, how can you not love sponges!

I laughed about the youtube thing... hehe, that's funny :)

Thank you for sharing, these things are intimate and I'm sure some things are hard to share but it's wonderful getting to know you!

Becky said...

seb - so very glad you enjoyed reading! now, now, let me clarify. i'm grossed out by sponges used for cleaning. sponge bob on the other hand is quite a riot.
