Haiku Away

This is a typical Good for Me move. Start something. Let it peter out without a word or explanation

So, I throw out a photo for haiku inspiration once again. From here on out let's just say that the Haiku Challenge will be ad hoc rather than weekly.

This is one of Simon's beauties. Feel free to add your haiku in the comments.

Hope you all have a great week!

Pretty picture.

Help me Haiku. I'm not very good. They always sound silly because I suck at rhyming and they look weird if they don't.

arm - you're funny. actually haiku is not supposed to rhyme. you can do it! just think of what the photo makes you feel, or what it reminds you of, or imagine something about it. then draft those ideas out in the 5-7-5 syllable pattern. I know you can do it!

each step a melodic note

Not supposed to rhyme? Everything I have ever believed in has now been shattered. Ok, maybe not. Here's a shot. It's not as pretty as the others

walking up the stairs
being careful not to fall
i can't wait for spring

arm - yay! i'm so glad you gave it a shot. and no comparison to the others needed. yours is just wonderful!

pauline - oooh. i love that!

katie and chikken - are you guys on the same bus ride? or flight of stairs?

katie - hmmm. that feels somewhat unlike you. i hope you get the sleep and peace you need this week :)

egan - such a party pooper.

chikken - you'll get through it crumble. i know those times that even though you cross things off the list, it just seems to grow and grow.

Brings pine sap and fresh dark earth
And strange compulsions...

cervelo - i'm so glad you joined in! capri pants? this is somewhat perplexing.

jake - mysterious indeed. strange compulsions?

I know, I'm a sucker for those puppies.

Dude, no matter HOW strange my compulsions, I doubt any could be as weird as the capri pants...

egan and jake - you two will have to battle that one out.
