Black and White

Oh my soul, why do you beset me so?
Leading me astray in opposing extremes
Akin to blindness, there are no greys
Closed in upon and cornered by black
Deceived by the starkness of endless white

I am not trapped
Nor am I on a free man's path
I stand
Still

. . . Vacillating

Great poem. Self discovery is a challenge.

Katie - thank you! it's hard to get started...you will! i am such a black and white person...all or nothing. learning that greys are viable options...sometimes involving compromise...but good options none the less.

flic - or ping pong!

mary - thanks for visiting! and thank you. it is a challenge, but like any other discovery, somewhat exciting.
